Title: Manual Control for Jetpack Author: Mark Jaquith Published: 12 Janaayo, 2012 Last modified: 22 Oktoobar, 2013 --- Raadi kaabayaal ![](https://ps.w.org/manual-control/assets/banner-772x250.png?rev=489313) This plugin **hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress**. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress. ![](https://s.w.org/plugins/geopattern-icon/manual-control_4c4d4c.svg) # Manual Control for Jetpack Qore [Mark Jaquith](https://profiles.wordpress.org/markjaquith/) [Soo Rog](https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/manual-control.0.2.zip) * [Faahfaahin](https://so.wordpress.org/plugins/manual-control/#description) * [Dibu-eegisyo](https://so.wordpress.org/plugins/manual-control/#reviews) * [Rakibaad](https://so.wordpress.org/plugins/manual-control/#installation) * [Horumarinta](https://so.wordpress.org/plugins/manual-control/#developers) [Taageero](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/manual-control/) ## Sharraxaad The [Jetpack](https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/) plugin by Automattic does something sneaky: it auto-activates new Jetpack modules. Instead of allowing you to opt in to new modules, Jetpack cheerfully activates them without your permission. These modules can change how your site works and looks. Manual Control puts a stop to that unwanted behavior. It prevents auto-activation of new Jetpack modules. Upload the `manual-control` folder to your `/wp-content/plugins/` directory 2. Activate the “Manual Control for Jetpack” plugin in your WordPress administration interface ## SBI Why don’t you just ask them to stop doing this? I did. Will this continue to work in the future? I can’t gurantee it. If they change how Jetpack module auto-activation and error handling works, it could break. ## Dibu-eegisyo Ma jiraan wax dibu-eegis ah oo ku saabsan kaabahan. ## Ka-qaybgalayaasha & Horumariyayaasha “Manual Control for Jetpack” waa softiweer il furan.
