From your WordPress dashboard

 1. **Visit** Plugins > Add New
 2. **Search** for “msd pre selected cat”
 3. **Activate** msd pre selected cat from your Plugins page
 4. **Click** on the new menu item “MSD Settings” and Select your category

  How to select default category for post?

 * Click on MSD Settings on left sidebar of dashboard
 * Choose category from dropdown list and Save It.

Really simple and helpful saving time while creating new post selecting a category
of my choice and the post will automatically go to that category instead of Uncategorized
