Simple jQuery plugin to make gmail like text avatars for profile pictures. These avatars can be scaled up to any size as they are SVG based.<\/p>\n\n

This is an integration of the initial.js jquery plugin (http:\/\/judelicio.us\/initial.js\/). This plugin contains hooks for extensibility, and modifications of avatars.<\/p>\n\n

The avatar will be the first initial of the username. Colors are set by default, but can be manipulated using built-in hooks.<\/p>\n\n\n

From WordPress Dashboard:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Go to 'Plugins > Add New'.<\/li>\n
  2. Search for 'Initial JS'.<\/li>\n
  3. Click \"Install Now\" for the plugin named 'Echo1 Consulting - Inital JS Avatar'.<\/li>\n
  4. That's it! Initial JS Avatar is automatically selected as your default avatar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    Manual Installation:<\/p>\n\n

    1. Upload echo1-consulting-initial-js-avatar.zip<\/code> to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory<\/li>\n
    2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress<\/li>\n
    3. That's it! Initial JS Avatar is automatically selected as your default avatar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

      What settings can I change?<\/dt>\n

      There are built in hooks \/ filters which allow you to modify the appearance of avatars. These attributes include: background-color, font-size, font-weight, alt-text, class names, image height, image width, number of characters in an avatar, text-color, and text used for the initial.<\/p><\/dd>\n
