Privacy
Instructor Cockpit uses the WordPress user data already on your site (name, email, role) and stores the time of each login to show participant activity. No data is sent to third parties.
Independent add-on
Instructor Cockpit is an independent, unofficial add-on. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LearnDash, the maker of LearnDash LMS and the “Instructor Role” plugin. “LearnDash” is a trademark of its respective owner and is used here only to describe compatibility.
Source code
The Cockpit is a React application. The JavaScript and CSS files in this plugin’s dist/ folder are its compiled build output. The uncompiled source and build tooling are published at download.sevmatic.com/instructor-cockpit-src.

- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New, search for “Instructor Cockpit” and click Install Now, then Activate.
- Make sure LearnDash LMS and the “Instructor Role” plugin are installed and active.
- Optional: under Settings > Instructor Cockpit, choose whether instructors are sent to the Cockpit after login, and adjust the dashboard title.

Does this plugin require LearnDash?

Yes. It requires LearnDash LMS and the “Instructor Role” plugin (
wdm_instructor), which handles instructor accounts and course ownership. “Instructor Role” is included in the LearnDash Elite plan and is not available as a free download on its own. -
How is this different from the dashboard in “Instructor Role”?

Instructor Cockpit is a separate, focused interface built around the tasks instructors do every day: structuring courses, managing participants and following learning progress. It runs alongside “Instructor Role” and does not replace or modify it, so you can try it without changing your existing setup.

Can I customize the title or branding?

The dashboard title and the “Edit in WP Admin” link text can be changed under Settings > Instructor Cockpit. The Pro add-on also lets you set the site title, favicon, logos and LearnDash accent colors.

What data does this plugin store?

What happens if “Instructor Role” or “Two-Factor” is deactivated?

“Instructor Role” is required. Without it, instructors are not recognized and the Cockpit is not accessible. “Two-Factor” is optional. Without it, the two-factor setup on the “Edit Profile” page simply does not appear.

- The course list now switches to its mobile card layout earlier (on a wider window) – with a course’s status and slug now shown below its title, the row was too wide for the classic table layout well before it actually reached mobile width, causing the “Actions” column to overflow instead of wrapping.
- Fixed the “Actions” column’s content wrapping onto several narrow lines even at full desktop width – it now stays on one line whenever there is room for it, and wraps only when there truly isn’t.
- While a course’s slug field is open in the list, its status is now hidden too (the same as the other way around already worked), so the row doesn’t grow taller than it needs to for both at once.
