Wexlab Website Launch Checker is an independent tool by WP Expert Lab that helps WordPress developers and site owners catch common pre-launch mistakes — placeholder text, dummy links, missing settings — before a client or visitor ever sees them.
Run a scan, work through the list, and re-scan to confirm each item is actually fixed. Every issue is tracked with an Open / Fixed / Ignored status so nothing gets forgotten between rounds of edits.
What it checks
- Lorem Ipsum placeholder text in page and post content
- Generic placeholder/demo text (“sample text”, “your text here”, “coming soon”, etc.)

- Empty links and
#placeholder links in published content - Empty Elementor buttons and Elementor buttons using
#as their link - Other common page builder fields (Divi, Beaver Builder, Bricks, Oxygen, CornerStone)
- Whether HTTPS is active on the site URL
- Search engine visibility (the “discourage search engines” setting)
- Site title / tagline placeholders
- Homepage configuration (a static homepage that isn’t set or isn’t published)
- Missing site icon / favicon
- Published posts or pages with obvious test/demo titles
How it works
- Go to Tools > Launch Checker in your WordPress admin.
- Click “Scan Website”.
- Work through the list of Open issues and fix them on your site.
- Click “Scan Website” again — anything that’s actually fixed is automatically marked Fixed, and anything still present stays Open.
- Use “Ignore” on any item that doesn’t apply to your project (e.g. an intentional
#anchor link).
Privacy
All scanning happens locally, directly against your own WordPress database and content. No site content, URLs, or scan results are ever sent to an external server.
Rakibaad
- Upload the plugin files to the
/wp-content/plugins/wexlab-website-launch-checkerdirectory, or install the plugin through the WordPress Plugins screen directly. - Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress.
- Go to Tools > Launch Checker.
- Click “Scan Website” to run your first scan.

Does this plugin send my site’s content anywhere?

No. Every check runs locally against your own WordPress database. Nothing is sent to an external service.

Will this slow down my site for visitors?

No. Scans only run when you click “Scan Website” from the admin dashboard — nothing runs on the public-facing site.

Does it work with page builders other than Elementor?

Yes. In addition to Elementor, it checks common content fields used by Divi, Beaver Builder, Bricks, Oxygen, and CornerStone.

What happens if I mark something as “Ignore”?

Ignored issues are excluded from the Open count and won’t reappear until you click “Check again” on that item.

What happens if I uninstall the plugin?

Uninstalling the plugin permanently removes its scan history table and settings from your database.
